The mission of the LHL Critical Issues Institute, Inc.* is to identify critical issues that seriously impact the health and/or well being of women, such as ovarian cancer, and to provide reliable information that will assist in making more knowledgeable decisions that may reduce or eliminate the risks associated therewith. The Institute will utilize all appropriate means (media, print publications, electronic communications, social media, mail, direct contacts, etc.) to inform and educate the public about these important issues. The educational materials and information will include the findings and conclusions of leading authorities in the critical issue areas and/or studies funded or authorize by the Institute. ·
*The LHL Critical Issues Institute was granted corporate status by the Commonwealth of Virginia on February 26, 2016. The IRS issued a determination letter on June 5, 2017 stating that the corporation was exempt from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code Section 501 (c) (3).
