"SILENT KILLER"

Also known as the "Silent Killer"
The key to obtaining a favorable survival rate for a woman with ovarian cancer is early detection and treatment. However, because ovarian cancer cells are located in a very complex area of a woman’s body, they can often grow and spread without early symptoms. Or, if there are symptoms they may be similar to other medical problems thereby masking their true meaning. This is why it is extremely important that a woman consult a doctor about any symptoms that she has and be persistent if the answers she is not getting do not fully explain what she is feeling. A woman knows her own body better than anyone so she may need to be persistent until she is satisfied because her life depends on it. It is critical that a woman remember that the earlier ovarian cancer is detected, the greater the chances of surviving it.
